WHAT I HAVE LEARNED IN THE LAST SIX MONTHS - ASTORIA PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHER
The last few months have been a roller coaster ride. I delve into educating myself more on different aspects of photography to serve you as my client better. I joined two fabulous business groups and have met some wonderful people virtually. Zoom is making it easier to be able to learn in a classroom setting. However, when it comes to client calls, I still enjoy doing them via the phone.
Two things I have learned about myself through this isolation. Number one, it can be very lonely, so I have been chatting more on the online group message boards. I have become a part of a new type of learning for photographers. Sharing information and ideas, and knowing you are not alone in this solo-entrepreneur business. Number two, done is better than perfect. I have completed some tasks that I have had on my to-do list forever—going deep to break those patterns that have held you back.
Who is ready for some incredible images of themselves! I have some great ideas, and I cannot wait to implement them. Yes, COVID has slowed us down, but really, I have learned things and met people I would not have met without this pandemic. I will share one of my latest photoshoots with a 50th birthday session my client gifted herself on my next blog. There were also some rocking senior photo sessions, and I cannot wait to tell you about them. This month I have a young ballet dancer coming to the studio for an ethereal feel photoshoot that should be amazing.
Have you ever thought about a photo shoot for yourself? Do you want to feel like a goddess? Let’s make it happen!!
Cheers,
Kathleen
