Fine Art Portraiture | Astoria, Oregon Photographer
What makes an image a fine art print? Fine art portraits are well thought out, a theme, or curated in such a way to invoke emotion when the view looks at it. It is lit in a way that makes it look painterly and special attention is taken when posing and compositing the image.
Does it take longer to do a fine art photo session? Yes, it is something that is well thought out down to every detail. Fine art prints are one of a kind, and you will only receive a photograph on the highest quality paper and museum-quality framing. Fine artwork is something you will hang in your home and hand down from generation to generation.
Not all fine art is a client photo session. The photographer uses some for submitting to awards. Entering competitions and having your work judged by some of the world’s best photographers is a way to improve your skills. Hours go into planning and executing a photo shoot, and then there is the editing process that takes several hours to complete. The images that are below all received Bronze awards from The Portrait Masters.
I will be adding unique artistic photography to my website in the next year. I enjoy learning new techniques while sharpening my skills as a photographer. Let’s be honest; there are a lot of photographers out there, and I just don’t want to be producing similar work. I have spent two years in classes and workshops learning new skills from some of the top photographers in the world, such as Richard Wood, Michelle Parsley, and Sue Bryce. I am excited to share my new work with you soon.
